Who We Are?
Centre for Integrated Development and Research (CIDAR) is a Nigeria based NGO registered as non-political, non-religious, non-for-profit incorporation of Trustees with Corporate Affairs Commission. Integrity is an integral part of CIDAR. As of 2019, we have worked in 15 states of Nigeria. Started in 2012, our intervention has affected more than 1.2 million lives across the country.
Our aim at CIDAR is to strengthen and empower women and men of marginalized and less-privileged families to enhance their quality of life by inculcating self-reliance for sustenance and growth. Our focus is to relieve the inhabitants of focused communities who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress as a result of socio-economic and terror/insurgency circumstances. Our pioneering programmes addresses key shortcomings in the field of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Livelihood, Education and Health.
CIDAR also promotes Government poverty alleviation program and projects and takes them forward by supplementing government efforts for bringing positive social change. Equipped with creative and passionate people, CIDAR is committed and competent to creatively initiate and persevere on its tasks, to uphold human dignity, to strive for an equitable social structure and to enable women and the socially disadvantaged to live with dignity.
